New Year Resolutions

Resolutions: I always make them and never keep them.

I've split my goals up into 3 categories: daily, weekly, and monthly.

Daily:

-exercise for 45-60 minutes
-drink 80 ounces of water
-read scriptures/ensign for 30 minutes
-pray day and night
-do a good deed
-keep a clean car

Weekly:
-learn a new hymn on the piano
-write in journal
Monthly:

-read one book
-save $350
This year, I will also:
-work on time management
-try to be more confident (I do order my own food now...)
-plan a trip

So far, this year is a complete fail. But I'm not waiting for another January 1st to roll around to start. I'll just begin now. I'm keeping my list short and simple.

A Giant Among Men

Yesterday was my last day off for the holiday season. I spent the day visiting with Jon and his parents in the evening, and for FHE we watched the 2008 Gordon B. Hinckley movie - A Giant Among Men. It's about 50 minutes long and I recommend it.

Throughout the movie there are written quotes. Here is one of my favorites from Victor Hugo, which they included in the movie:

"And when you have laboriously accomplished your daily tasks, go to sleep in peace, God is awake."
I love quotes. Who knows, maybe someday someone will quote me. I need to think of something really witty to say. Although a lot of quotes are just common sense and not jaw-dropping.
